How completely delightful to stay at Casita de La Luz and to meet you both. Maybe you had a peek at my apres-vino comments in your guest book but I haveto say that it is rare to be accommodated in such comfort, beauty and peace. Whatever it is you're doing - you're doing it very very well indeed. If you ever bottle it, please let me know and I'll buy a job-lot....
To us you are now Michael and Marianne de La Luz, yes?
Dave Crompton March 2007
It was such a great week for us, one of those holidays you never forget.
Your place is like the Garden of Eden, beautiful, peaceful, warm and friendly !!!
The casita is decorated so nice, till the last detail, the beds were so comfortable who wants to get up, the pool, the plants , the birds . . . they(‘re) all part in the holiday.
But most of all it’s you who make this place unforgettable for us with the birthday cake and the things we have learnt from you, and the joy you gave our kids.
We are going back to Ireland thinking of our homeland Israel with lots of nice memories from Spain and from Casita de la Luz.
Love,
Ilana, Eyal, Michael, Abigail and Uri — Ireland.
Adios Marianne and Michael — I would like to tell you that we’ve had a wonderful time out here. I really loved the casita, the swimming pool and especially the dogs, Millie and Lunes (I hope it is spelled right).
You both were (and still are !) really nice people, you were helpful, friendly and enjoyable. The casita was absolutely beautiful with tastefully designed rooms and very comfortable beds !
By and large, it’s a really cosy and charming cottage !
We hope to see you again sometime.

After 12 fabulous days in Casita de la Luz it is time to leave. Not that we want to ! We would like to thank you for your warmth and kindness that made our stay in the Casita (which is a wonderful place to stay) extra special. To us the Casita isn’t just the ‘house of light’, but also of peace and joy. And that is mainly your doing ! We feel as if we have made two new and dear friends. Or better: four, because Millie and Lunes made our stay even better. Who is going to play with Peter now?
Thank you so much for everything, we’ll be having very special memories of our time here. And we really hope to be back sometime in the near future.
Love,
Monique and Peter - The Netherlands.
We wish you continued happiness, success and fulfilment here in Orgiva. Your warmth of welcome and caring attitude will, of course, go a long, long way to ensuring your own, (and guests’) peace of mind. Your garden (August, the first year) is already starting to flourish — this will stand ‘Casita de la Luz’ apart from others of its ilk. We particularly enjoyed the lizards (geckos), and the antics of Millie and Lunes. Plenty of birds for your ‘twitchers’ too !
A tip for all future guests — wait until it’s really dark, lie down on the sun-beds and gaze at the stars, spot the satellites and hopefully you’ll be rewarded with a shooting star or two.

We’ve really enjoyed our two weeks here, and it is all the small things that made it so enjoyable for us — watching all the lizards, playing countless ball games with Millie and Lunes, swimming in your gorgeous pool with the dragonflies ! We hope the rest of your guests appreciate the hard work you’ve put into it as we did !
Thank you for making us so welcome and relaxed.
Thea & Sophie Radburn — England.
What a lovely week we had in Orgiva! Your caring hospitality, your tasteful and snug Cortijo-de-la-Luz guesthouse (everything there, indeed), the beautiful weather, and the magnificent scenery of the Alpugarras. It all felt like a warm bath!
Being a passionate gardener myself, I am curious to see how your garden will develop this year. Please take pictures from time to time.
We will come to Orgiva again next year again, no doubt.
Thanks for everything.
With best regards,
Albine (and Victor, and Marieke) February 2005
