Activities

The very Spanish town of Orgiva attracts people from all over Europe, probably partly due to Chris Stewart and his books about the area, ‘Driving over Lemons’ and ‘Parrot in a Pepper Tree’.  It‘s just a few minutes drive away, a pleasant 15 — 20 minutes walk. Most facilities are to be found there, including cafes, bars, restaurants, banks, shops, pharmacies and small supermarkets. A big weekly market takes place on Thursday mornings. Such is the increasing demand these days, that there are two good health shops.

Within twenty minutes drive in the direction of Granada, one can easily reach the neighbouring town of Lanjaron, which features healing spa bathing. Leaving Orgiva in the same direction, but soon turning off right, a half hour’s drive brings one to the three fascinating and very popular mountain villages of  Pampaneira, Bubion and Capileira, reaching over 1,300mtrs in height. Each of these villages is well endowed with shops, bars, cafes and restaurants for your enjoyment.

We are ideally situated for you to enjoy walking and climbing the mountains, biking, horse riding, fishing, shopping, eating, or just resting or lazing about in complete peace. Small, intimate beaches (many with delightful restaurants) and golf courses are only some 35 to 45 minutes away, according to choice. At appropriate times of the year we are an hour and twenty minutes from the ski slopes above Granada. For information click www.cetursa.es
